Very personable, easy to talk to, listened to me and answered questions, showed and explained test results and offered and enouraged further treatment/referrals to further assist me. I feel confident and fully informed of my condition and possible treatment. Very positive experience.

We were interested in meeting Dr. Loeb, our new Ashland orthopedic doctor and he kindly came out of his office to meet us and shake hands and thanked us for welcoming him! Such a nice feeling in that office in spite of changes lately. We started out in our Ashland care post hip transplant with Julie Farrier. Susanne has been seamless and new nursing staff have also been very nice and good care. ***

A positive experience to establish with Suzanne Newman CNP as previous provider is no longer with this practice. Suzanne listened to my past history of condition, and we discussed 'what was working' and she gave additional suggestions. Will follow with my PCP in the UH system, or return to this practice if needed. X-rays were done same day/same facility prior to seeing provider. That was not expected by me (I was not told in advance of appointment), but I understand need for comparable films (previous x-rays over a year old). Suzanne is a good listener, excellent problem solver, courteous and respectful. Will recommend her as a provider to others in the future. Thank you for excellent orthopedic care ***.

*** This appointment was accommodated by UH Ashland and we greatly appreciated this option. We felt Suzanne was able to act as an extension of Dr. *** office. She was quite thorough and we enjoyed her immensely. Thank you UH! We are highly satisfied with physical therapies in home and the local Ashland area rehab facility, as well. Our overall experience with this hip surgery has been highly satisfying and a pleasure! ***

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
