This was the first time that I met Dr. Marsh. He was very professional, listened to my concerns and questions, and included my thoughts in caring for my injury. His physician's assistant, ***, was excellent as well. *** and Dr. Marsh showed me my X-rays, answered my questions thoroughly and were very professional. The medical assistant, ***, was also in the exam room. She was very nice and easy to talk to. I did not feel nervous at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Marsh, *** and *** and the UH office to my family and friends

Due to a flare up of gout in my left toe, I was naturally favoring my right leg. Apparently I stressed my right knee with increasing pain. I was about to leave for a long planned vacation where extensive walking would be involved. I saw my primary physician Dr. *** who immediately ordered an x-ray of my knee which I got that very day in the same building as Dr. ***. He referred me to Dr. Marsh who was able to see me just two days after I'd seen Dr ***. Dr. Marsh and his team were crisp and armed with the x-ray were able to recommend a course of action that has provided me the relief I need to go and enjoy a nice vacation. UH has a good team and system for health care.

Dr Marsh has been my orthopedic Dr for many years now. Since our 1st meeting he has been kind and attentive, and taken his time answering questions. I've never felt awkward asking him anything, and he answers. I have never felt like he has blown off any of my concerns. I have multiple health issues, including RA, and he is one of the few of the specialists I see that I don't feel is dismissing and part of my autoimmune and disease process concerns. And that is saying a lot.

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
