I see Dr Lathia as part of the Housecalls service. I'm very grateful for that. ***. She is a GREAT Ringmaster of all the specialists active in my care and keeps up with their treatments and recommendations. I am also a physician and I can actually relax and just be a patient, knowing she is watching what is going on. This is NOT easy for me as past experiences has taught me NOT to do this. I can't recommend her more highly. She has excellent bed side manners, she pays attention and remembers things and does keep up with the Nephrologist with my constantly changing renal status and infection status. I feel she is really stretched thin with all her duties and am honestly concerned of her being burned out if some relief doesn't come soon. That would be a huge loss to me and all her patients.

What I appreciate MOST, is Dr. Lathia spending all the time we seemed to need. There was no hurry. She listened to every question and concern and responded thoughtfully and expertly. I feel she has my best health In mind and operated as such.

Dr Lathia is a professional who truly listens to her patient's concerns. She takes into account my entire medical history. This allows us to proceed with the best medical care possible. She sees me as a person, not just another case. She is empathetic & understanding. I am fortunate to have Dr Lathia as my doctor!

Provider wanted appointment scheduled for 4 months out. Clerk could not schedule because the January calendar was not yet available. A call back will be needed to schedule the appointment in October, if possible. This is super inconvenient and inefficient! Especially since Dr Lathia only sees patients on a limited basis. She is fantastic and we don't want to lose her!

The provider spent a lot of time explaining but also listening to the patient's concerns.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
