All okay
After years of tracking symptoms, keeping food journals and data regarding my heart rate, only to have my experiences identified as 'generalized anxiety', this provider's assessment, feedback and exceptional communication skills actually moved me to tears. It is Incredibly empowering to feel 'heard', particularly in a traditional medical environment. Additionally, at no point did I feel as though I was a number, there was no 'rushing' into the exam room in which I sat, no furious typing on the computer with little interaction, and no quick movements to disengage from the appointment. Instead she listened carefully, her responses indicated that she had reviewed my medical record, and she acknowledged and affirmed that my experiences were valid. Additionally she spent time listening to my concerns and fears - and provided responses. I have already recommended this practitioner to others and am incredibly grateful to UH Physician Services for the quality of care that I experienced from this provider! (The check in at the front desk was equally positive!)

This provider was the most prepared I have ever seen for a first time consultation. She listened to my concerns and patiently explained her understanding of my current condition along with all of my past medical history and current medications.She made certain that I did not have any further comments or concerns. Also as follow up to this visit, she provided a complete listing of my medical history as we discussed. She requested that I provide data of my daily blood pressure readings for the next few weeks as homework.
