Amazing pediatrician, so impressed!

Dr. Hellerstein took excellent care of my daughter. It was our first time seeing her as her regular doctor was out of office for the week. She was kind, thorough, and gentle. She saw her on a Saturday morning for a scary high fever. She was exactly what we needed at the time and ordered what couldn't be done on the weekend. We are so pleased with the care our daughter received. Dr. Hellerstein is an absolute gem.

Dr. Hellerstein is a caring, knowledgeable, and kind doctor. She truly understands my son and spends time to get to know him at every age.

Dr. Hellerstein is always very attentive. She listens to my concerns, unlike other doctors I have seen who are rather dismissive.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hellerstein. She is a wonderful pediatrician, and we are so glad to have found her. I love that she's fully focused on my daughter, and on the conversation with me, during our visits. She's not in a rush or typing away on a computer. It is a refreshing, and rewarding, interaction.

My college student daughter saw Dr. Hellerstein for this well-visit and all went well. She's been with Dr. Hellerstein for over 21 years so I think that says a lot about how happy we are with her as a primary care physician.

Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
