Tina far exceeded my expectations. She came into the visit having knowledge of my long term and recent medical history. I was very impressed how much she already new when entering the exam room. She took time and educated me on what her thoughts were and took time to listen and ensure I had no unanswered questions. I would absolutely recommend her to my friends and family.

I found Tina to be very easy to talk to and to explain my symptoms to. She listened to them very well and was aware of my medical history She gave reasonable treatment options that was within my comfort level. This visit was one of the more pleasant and helpful appointments I have ever had in a GI office in the UH system so far. I will definitely recommend her to family and friends.

I was extremely impressed with this medical professional. (Nurse practitioner Tina Corkbell)She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything I needed to know about my upcoming colonoscopy and the specific medical concerns I had. She made sure I understood everything she said and she answered all my questions. She was so professional yet also so friendly, someone I could trust. She is actually one of my favorite people I have seen in my medical care experience!

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
