Patient Experience Reviews
Good
My provider is always honest and concerned About my health.
Always available and kind.
I arrived a day early and Dr. Chen fit me in with almost no waiting. I was very grateful!
Dr Chen and his staff are very professional and kind. Things are explained clearly and they are very attentive. I truly have no complaints.
Excellent primary care
Dr. Chen listened and took me seriously. As a result, combine with his knowledge, he was able to theorize there could be a more serious issue. He ordered the appropriate bloodwork and contacted me promptly with the best recommendation for next steps- this was to go to the ER because the bloodwork indicated potential heart failure. It turns out, I have Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and my heart was being negatively impacted from it. I am now pending discharge, connected with Dr. Schilz, and on the path to a better life with the appropriate medication for my condition. I was at a very severe stage and if it wasn't for Dr. Chen's patience and care to hear me and then check thoroughly for an issue, I may not be here today. I would say that more or less, Dr. Chen saved my life.
A very good care provider!
Very pleased with the care I was provided and the friendly atmosphere
Dr. Chen is great. He cares a lot about his patients, takes time to really listen, understand questions/concerns and he implements an action plan while also soothing/consoling any anxiety(ies) that I may be having all at the same time. I'm thankful for Dr. Chen.
Excellent experience!
I am happy with Dr. Chen.I trust him.
I have only seen Dr. Chen twice, after my previous physician retired. But so far, I like him a lot.

Good never had a bad one
All is good.
My parents are over nineties. They have been seening Dr. Chen for many years. Dr. Chen is caring, knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. He is the best doctor my parents can find.
Dr, Chen is awesome, He always calls me personally with updates or results and even video phoned me when I was too sick to come Into the office. Best Dr I have ever had. As was the staff in the Ravenna Hospital both my trip to the ER and the following Eurology surgery, I am always impressed with these facilities when I go there.I am disappointed with the loss of so many of the really good Drs in Eurology since my treatment in Ravenna.
Good experience
All good

Dr. Chen is taking Barb Artrips place while Barb is out on medical leave. Dr Chen has been very good at handling my health. I like him very much.
They are awesome
Great experience, thanks a lot!
My previous PCP, Dr Charles MacCallum, retired in Sept 23, so I scheduled an appt with Dr Chen as my new PCP, and was very impressed with him.
Very quick to get in and see Doctor. Easy to schedule
Dr. Chen was referred to us by a friend after our other PC doctor retired. Dr. Chen is a very good doctor who listens to your health/medication questions and explains in details that help you understand. He is a great doctor. Highly recommend. He also calls after hours to get back to you about test results or if you called in with a medical issue.
I really like Dr. Chen. He is very responsive to me. I much prefer him over my previous provider.
Great Doctor!
Dr. Chen is the best doctor I have seen.
Very good listener. Knew about my health from the history provided and the spredsheet I keep on my health
Great! The other clinic is helping me with a health issue. Which care provider understands
Industry Relationships
University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.
UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
