About

Tekin Baglam, MD, is a pediatric otolaryngologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He joined UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s in August 2021.

Dr. Baglam received his medical degree from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (Istanbul, Turkey) in 1999. He went on to complete a residency in otolaryngology at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. After moving to the United States, Dr. Baglam completed a research fellow in otolaryngology at Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center (Columbus, Ohio) in 2019 and a fellowship in Rhinology at Tuft Medical School, St. Elizabeth Medical Center (Brighton, Massachusetts) in 2020. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Medical University of South Carolina, Shawn Jenkins Children Hospital (Charleston, South Carolina) in 2021.

As an invited lecturer, Dr. Baglam has spoken on Otolaryngology topics at a number of professional meetings, workshops and congresses in Turkey and Europe. Dr. Baglam has authored articles in a number of international peer-reviewed journals. In addition, Dr. Baglam has presented at numerous national and regional meetings.

Dr. Baglam’s practice focuses entirely on children with ear, nose, and throat problems. His role at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital includes working in a collaboration with the cystic fibrosis team for the treatment of pediatric sinus issues. His clinical interest encompass all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology, including ear/hearing, neck, thyroid diseases, airway and sinus disorders.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
