University Hospitals Collaborates with Local Schools to Help Nurses Succeed

The American Nurses Association states that over one million nurses will be needed by 2022 to keep up with healthcare demands. University Hospitals has created unique programs aimed at addressing the nation’s predicted nursing shortage, including working with community colleges and nursing schools to create innovative strategies to increase enrollment and graduation rates.

These strategies include collaborations with several area colleges to support nursing education with the goal of increasing the number of nurses who earn baccalaureate degrees (BSN).
