The Canadian CABG or PCI in Patients with Ischemic Cardiomyopathy Trial

Study Purpose

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI – a minimally invasive procedure that goes through the skin into the blood system and up to the heart) against coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG – a surgery on the tubes that carry blood to the heart) in patients with multivessel coronary artery disease and ischemic left ventricular dysfunction (weak heart from reduced circulation secondary to the blockages).

Who Can Participate

Participants 18 years of age or older diagnosed with multivessel coronary artery disease with ejection fraction 40% or lower may be eligible for this study.
