Study Purpose

This study is being done to learn whether adding a clot removal procedure, along with standard medical treatment, is better for stroke patients that have a blockage of a medium sized blood vessel (artery) in the brain. Clot removal treatment is used for some stroke patients; however, it is not standard treatment for the type of stroke you are experiencing.
