Study Purpose

The purpose of the study is to find out whether giving adults an experimental drug called ethyl nitrite (ENO) can improve oxygen delivery to the body's tissues during a blood transfusion.

Who Can Participate

Healthy volunteers between 18 and 35 years of age that are considered eligible by American Red Cross standards to donate blood may be eligible for this study. Participants will be screened by qualified practitioners for eligibility to receive either saline or your own blood back.
