Study Purpose
The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the growth of the hip joint. Cam morphology, an abnormally shaped hip joint, can cause significant pain and is linked to a need to future hip replacement. Some studies have suggested that cam morphology develops with excessive sport activity. However, it is not known what level of activity is truly “excessive.” The findings of this pilot study may lay the groundwork for determining how much exercise is recommended before there is a risk of cam morphology. You will be one of 20 participants enrolled in this study which one site at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH.
