Study Purpose

The purpose of this study is to understand how the immune system works in children who are very sick, with at least two organs that aren’t working well. Knowing how a child’s diagnosis, treatments, and genes relate to their immune system function may help us design better treatments for critically ill children in the future.

Who Can Participate

Age: Birth - 18 years old Admission to the PICU or cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU)
