Optimizing Pain Treatment In Children On Mechanical Ventilation

  • Conditions Being Studied: Pain, Pediatric Care, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Study Purpose

The purpose of tis study is to learn more about using non-opioid pain medication for children who are on breathing machines called ventilators. The study will test if acetaminophen (Tylenol) and/or ketorolac (Toradol) can help manage pain and reduce the need for stronger pain medication (opioids) in children who are on ventilators.
