Study Purpose
This study aims to improve how we treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) in the Emergency Room. First, we are testing a new computer tool that helps doctors decide more accurately if a patient that comes to the emergency room with urinary symptoms truly needs antibiotics. This would help prevent unnecessary medicine use. Second, we are adding a follow-up system to check on patients who don’t get better after leaving the emergency room, ensuring they quickly get the specialized care they need.
