Study Purpose
The purpose of the study is to collect blood and/or gastrointestinal specimens to create a research repository to store samples for use in future research protocols. These donated blood and gastrointestinal specimens will be kept for current and later use. Studying these specimens will increase the researcher's knowledge and understanding about the mechanisms and causes of gastrointestinal disorders. These specimens may also provide valuable material necessary in the development of new tests and treatments for gastrointestinal disease.
Who Can Participate
Participants 18 years and older diagnosed with gastrointestinal disorders may be eligible for this study. You may also be eligible for this study if you are a family member of someone with gastrointestinal disorders and are willing to donate blood and/or specimens for this research study, are healthy control samples, are undergoing routine endoscopy or a biopsy or are undergoing gastrointestinal resection may also be eligible to participate.
