Symptom Checker should never be used for urgent health care matters. If you believe you are experiencing an urgent health condition, please contact your provider, go directly to the Emergency Department of a local hospital, or call 9-1-1.

Symptom Checker is designed for patients that are in relatively good health with common complaints, to guide you on your best options to get evaluated and treated. The information contained in the Symptom Checker is not intended nor implied to be a substitute for professional medical advice. The information is provided for educational purposes only. You assume full responsibility for how you choose to use this information. If you have chronic medical conditions that may respond differently during an illness you should check with your doctor. If you have been told that you are at increased risk of infection or on immune suppression you should not use Symptom Checker and should call your doctor. If your symptoms last longer than 24-48 hours please call your doctor.

You can revisit the recommendation information the next time you review the Symptom Checker. The responses that you enter using the Symptom Checker will become part of your medical record.
