Bo’s corner: Hey, kids! This page is for you
Eat a rainbow of fruits and veggies
Bo the Take Care Bear is always on the go, visiting University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital where he meets kids like you. He needs lots of energy to be at his best, so he makes sure to eat healthy foods.
Bo loves rainbows and fruit. So it is easy for him to remember to eat a rainbow of fruits and vegetables – the more colors, the better. Each color has different vitamins your body needs.
Your parents probably tell you to eat fruits and vegetables, too. They know that these foods give you lots of vitamins and energy. They can also keep your heart healthy and your bones strong.
Colorful and healthy
Try out these yummy snacks to eat more colors of the rainbow:
- Spread peanut butter onto green celery sticks.
- Stir sweet blueberries into yogurt.
- Make your own fruit cup with red strawberry and yellow banana slices.
- For a cool snack, freeze purple grapes.
