Northeast Ohio CARPE Collaborative Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship

University Hospitals is one of 44 medical centers in the U.S. that received a five-year $2.89 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to create the Northeast Ohio Center for Addiction Research, Prevention, and Education (CARPE) Collaborative. The goal of the HRSA funding is to increase the number of board-certified Addiction Psychiatrists and Addiction Medicine Physicians trained in Northeast Ohio.
The Fellowship
- One-year post-residency Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship
- Fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
- Eligible candidates will receive a stipend that is $15,000 more than a typical Fellowship salary
- Up to $250,000 loan repayment for physicians who practice addiction psychiatry after completion of the Fellowship via the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR-LRP). Visit HRSA Health Workforce to learn more.
- To be eligible, you must be a fourth-year resident in psychiatry or a practicing psychiatrist who is ready to pursue Fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry. Candidates must be US citizens or green card holders to qualify for HRSA support.
