Our dedicated volunteers at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center provide a range of services for patients, families and staff members. They lend a hand, dry a tear, share a smile and truly make a difference. The kindness of each volunteer is immeasurable and the effects are incredibly pervasive across our entire organization.
Without the scores of dedicated volunteers at UH Elyria Medical Center, we just would not be the same. Our volunteers tell us they wouldn’t either. They enjoy staying active, being needed, meeting new people and in some instances, learning new skills. Some of our volunteer opportunities include:
- Assist visitors or answer phones
- Become a cashier in our gift shop
- Deliver flowers and assist patients at discharge
- Help with light office duties
- Provide updates to waiting families
