Welcome New Residents

A Message from the Director of Medical Education

Dr. Gregory Bloxdorf, D.O., Director of Medical Education

On behalf of University Hospitals St. John Medical Center, I would like to thank you for your interest in our growing osteopathic medical education program. It is our goal to train residents to become highly competent and professional physicians. The osteopathic medical education program combines hands-on patient care experience with both ambulatory and in-patient rotations, as well as regular didactic lectures from attending physicians, clinical case conferences, morning report, and journal clubs.

The hospital is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association and affiliated with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, which allows us a greater pool pf resources for medical students and residents. Each resident participates in lectures each month with other residents through the state.

“We’re not too small…we’re not too large…we’re just right!” “Everyone is so helpful and willing to teach.” – Gregory Bloxdorf, D.O.

I welcome you to explore our programs with a quick overview of Medical Education at UH St. John Medical Center. Please feel free to call my office at 440-827-5985 if you have any questions or would like additional information.
