University Hospitals Travel Medicine Clinic Helps Travelers Stay Healthy

Planning an overseas trip can be a very exciting time: creating an itinerary, choosing which sites to see, picking out hotels and restaurants. But with all the planning and decision-making, travelers can sometimes overlook one of the most important factors in ensuring an enjoyable trip: their health.

University Hospitals wants to help make sure all travelers stay healthy and safe during their journeys. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, our clients can depend on the Roe Green Center for Travel Medicine to meet all their travel needs – both before their trip and after they return home.

First Travel Clinic in the U.S.

Established in 1972 as the first travelers’ clinic in the U.S., University Hospitals travel medicine program has a lengthy history of helping people stay healthy, whether traveling overseas or right here in the States. Travelers can get sick or injured without any warning, and usually find it difficult to handle the interruption when far away from home. Consulting with one of our travel medicine experts before a trip can help travelers feel confident that they are properly prepared for their journey.

Specialized Care for Young Travelers

In addition, UH is the one of the first providers in the U.S. to provide for the special needs of children traveling overseas through its Pediatric Travel Clinic at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Unlike other programs that only focus on adult travelers, UH travel experts are focused on keeping all travelers healthy, at any age and to any destination.
