Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities

Rehabilitation Services Offers Excellence in Inpatient Care

In addition to a dedicated rehabilitation hospital, inpatient rehabilitation care is available at University Hospitals facilities, providing state-of-the-art rehabilitative care for patients while they continue to be supported with excellent medical care. This integrated approach allows for more successful short-term recovery and improved long-term health. Upon diagnosis or assessment, our physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians, also called physiatrists, work collaboratively with other physicians on the care team to prescribe a course of rehabilitative therapies for steady improvement toward optimal functional. Assessments are made at each subsequent therapy session so treatment plans can be adjusted or revised based on recovery progress to date.

Advanced Rehabilitation for Post-Acute Care

Inpatient rehabilitation is offered at four University Hospitals locations: University Hospitals Rehabilitation Hospital in BeachwoodUniversity Hospitals Avon Rehabilitation Hospital, University Hospitals Parma Medical Center, and and University Hospitals Lake Continuing Care Center. They offer comprehensive care led by physicians dedicated to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
