Our subspecialty areas focus on areas of the head and neck that may benefit from surgical intervention, everything from inserting drainage tubes in the ears of a child suffering from frequent and severe ear infections to complex surgery for the removal of a tumor at the base of the skull.

University Hospitals Ear, Nose & Throat Institute’s Audiology & Cochlear Implant Center is dedicated to treating the full spectrum of hearing disorders in both adults and children and is leading the way in using advanced technology to reverse deafness. Our expert team of audiologists and other ENT specialists uses sophisticated diagnostic techniques to evaluate patients before developing individualized treatment plans. Treatments can include the use of advanced hearing aid technology as well as cochlear implants to restore hearing in those with profound hearing loss.
The Center for Skull Base Diseases (CSBD) at University Hospitals Ear, Nose & Throat Institute provides a multidisciplinary team comprised of specially trained and experienced surgeons who manage a wide variety of tumors and other disorders of the brain and skull base. Our experienced surgeons uses leading-edge technology and advanced minimally invasive techniques to treat patients with conditions such as acoustic neuromas, aneurysms, hearing loss, tumors and facial paralysis. UH Ear, Nose & Throat Institute’s Voice & Swallowing Center employs advanced diagnostic technology and innovative therapies to treat a wide range of voice, swallowing and breathing disorders.
