The mission of the University Hospitals Brain Health Center is to develop and integrate ways of maintaining brain health throughout a patient’s life.

Our physicians and researchers work together to generate a greater understanding of normal brain function while devising customized treatment plans that enhance the quality of life for both patients with medical conditions affecting brain function and their families.

The UH Brain Health Center places a great emphasis on studying brain changes associated with aging, diabetes and cognitive disorders, and is dedicated to preventing neurodegenerative conditions by taking a proactive approach to overall cognitive wellness.

The UH Brain Health Center is focused on research that includes social and biological interventions to address brain function and to combat a variety of neurodegenerative conditions that lead to cognitive impairment, including:
