Clinic Provides Consultation and Care for Patients with Cancer

The Symptom Management and Supportive Care Clinic provides consultation and longitudinal care for any UH Seidman Cancer Center patient, regardless of the prognosis or disease stage. Our ultimate goal is to relieve suffering in all of its dimensions in patients with cancer and their families.

Our team, including a physician board-certified in hospice and palliative care and a nurse practitioner with oncology and symptom management expertise, assesses patients for issues such as:

  • Pain
  • Non-pain symptoms (e.g., nausea, constipation, fatigue, anorexia, shortness of breath)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Delirium
  • Patient or family coping

In addition, these experts facilitate goals-of-care conversations with patients and families and can provide management of patients who are receiving hospice care.

Convenient Locations

The Symptom Management and Supportive Care Clinic is located on the first floor of UH Seidman Cancer Center Robinson Family Pavilion. We will also see patients in the Frankino-Didero Infusion Center on the lobby level and Radiation Oncology Department on the lower level of the cancer hospital.
