For Maxine Brown, the physical strain of giving birth to three children led to weakened muscles and eventually organ prolapse. But the busy 40-year-old, who is back in college studying for her accounting degree, refused to let the problem get her off track.

“I wanted to be done with it, so that when I’m older, the condition won’t worsen and become a bigger problem,” Brown said.

Female pelvic medicine and surgery specialist corrected the prolapse surgically, and Brown experienced no complications.

"I want to share my success story,” she said. “University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center offers excellent service in a comfortable, homey setting. They provide excellent care.”
