Conditions We Treat

University Hospitals Breast Health Center Offers Comprehensive Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Conditions

UH Breast Center

At UH Breast Health Center, we evaluate and treat patients with a variety of concerns related to breast health. Our board-certified physicians have extended their training to specialize in breast health. This means that they are up-to-date on the latest research, clinical treatments and more importantly they have vast experience.

Our multidisciplinary team of breast care specialists including radiologists, pathologists, surgical, medical and radiation oncologists collaborate weekly to review and tailor treatment plans to meet each patient’s physical and emotional needs.

Specialization in Noncancerous Breast Conditions

Several breast conditions may turn out to be benign. These include:

High Risk Breast Conditions

  • Atypical ductal hyperplasia
  • Atypical lobular hyperplasa
  • Lobular carcinoma in situ
  • Flat epithelial atypia

Breast Cancer

Breast cancer, which can affect both men and women, is the most serious breast disease. This condition involves the abnormal growth of cells in the breast tissue, which usually occurs in the ducts (tubes that carry milk to the nipple) and lobules (glands that produce milk). Like most conditions, early detection is a key component to the successful treatment of breast cancer.
