Billing, Insurance and Medical Records

At UH Conneaut Medical Center we work closely with patients to make financial arrangements before, during or after their hospital stay as manageable as possible. Some of the online resources we offer patients include:

Hospital Bills

The hospital bill includes room charges, equipment, supplies, diagnostic and therapeutic testing. We will bill a patient’s insurance company directly and send him or her a copy of the bill. Depending on an individual’s insurance plan, he or she will be responsible for paying certain expenses directly. These expenses include deductibles, co-insurance and noncovered charges. Patients will receive separate bills from the hospital and from their physician(s).

Physician Bills

Patients may receive bills from various departments associated with UH Conneaut Medical Center for professional charges on diagnostic testing or specialty services. These professional services may include the reading/interpretation of X-rays, electrocardiograms (EKG), laboratory tests and specialized services such as anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics, etc. Individuals will also receive bills from doctors for professional charges. If patients have any questions concerning their physician bills, please call the telephone number listed on each bill.
