X Ray

Digital Radiography

This is a form of X-ray imaging using digital sensors instead of traditional photographic film. One of the biggest advantages is time. Once the image is captured, it is sent directly to the computer. No cassettes are used in digital radiography. Less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography.

Computed Radiography

This is a form of X-ray imaging that is similar to conventional radiography. The biggest difference is that instead of using film, computed radiography uses an imaging plate. The images are then processed by a special laser, not in a dark room. The special laser processes the image and then digitizes it. The image then can be viewed and enhanced.
