Jillian Fetzner, CNP, is an adult nurse practitioner with the Diabetes and Metabolic Care Center and the Program Director for Diabetes Clinical Care Improvement at University Hospitals. In 2020, Jillian completed her post-masters endocrinology specialty certification for nurse practitioners at Duke University, the only program in the United States that offers this certification.

Jillian is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAAPN). Prior to her work at University Hospitals, Jillian worked as an adult nurse practitioner at the Cleveland Clinic from 2014-2021 where she also completed her medical rotations.

Jillian received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, from Kent State University. Jillian is a certified nurse practitioner and Ohio registered nurse, with a certification from the American Heart Association, for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

She has been featured in over 25 publications sharing her expertise in diabetes management, several of which are national and international. In 2020, she received the Caregiver Excellence Award and was Co-Chair for the APRN Endocrinology Conference. In 2022, she was awarded Outstanding Poster in the Quality Improvement Category.

The office and provider are always friendly and professional. Dr. Jill F- is always responsive ***- 24 hour responses and medications refilled as stated. She is encouraging and pays attention to small details to ensure you are aware of your milestones and encourages you to go further and push harder. She is great

Everyone on the care team was friendly and professional. The front desk was nice and efficient. The MA was caring and friendly. Jillian is an amazing provider. She gives you her full attention and is very attentive. Jillian is very caring and nonjudgmental. She is a great listener and meets you where you're at. It is evident she is very knowledgeable and wants you to achieve your goals. I can't say enough great things about Jillian and the care she provides.

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships.
