Volunteers are an integral part in our effort to deliver the best healthcare possible. At UH Conneaut Medical Center we rely on the compassion and dedication shared amongst our Volunteers as the offer their time and skill to deliver superior service to the community.

There is a wide range of volunteer opportunities available that range from working directly with patients as well as families and the community. UH Conneaut Medical Center wants to help ensure volunteers have a unique and personal experience that allows them to capitalize on their interests, skills, and desire to make a difference.

Your Commitment

Prior to applying as a volunteer, consider your lifestyle and other commitments. Our professional and administrative staff will learn to know and depend upon you.

We welcome high school students, college students, retirees, and anyone else to volunteer. We will work to adjust to your changing schedules, if possible.

Current Volunteer Opportunities at UH Conneaut Medical Center

The following list represents some of the areas of service of University Hospitals Conneaut Medical Center volunteers.

We will make every effort to honor your preferences regarding placement. However, placements are based on hospital needs and your time and availability. Note that the minimum age to volunteer is 15 years and a sophomore in high school. Some positions may require a higher age.

How to Become a Volunteer at UH Conneaut Medical Center

Call or complete volunteer inquiry form:
If you are interested in volunteering please complete an inquiry online form or call 440-593-0278. You will be sent a volunteer application via mail.

Application:
Complete the Volunteer Application and then call to set up an appointment for an interview.

Health screening:
Before starting their position, all volunteers will receive a TB test. It is provided by the hospital at no cost. The TB test is an annual requirement.

Background & screening:
Reference and criminal checks, including fingerprinting, are conducted on all volunteers before they start their position.

Dress code:
You will receive a badge and are required to wear casual business attire.
