The Center for Emergency Medicine and Marcy R. Horvitz Pediatric Emergency Center on the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center campus provides 24-hour emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art facility. The dedicated emergency unit offers immediate access to expert specialists and advanced technology in an environment specifically designed to maximize patient comfort, privacy and safety. The Center for Emergency Medicine is an accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center.

The Region’s Only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center

Children are treated at the Marcy R. Horvitz Pediatric Emergency Center at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. As the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Northeast Ohio, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is equipped to handle the most serious emergencies involving children. Pediatric treatment rooms are large enough to accommodate family members and are clustered around a central nurse station to maximize interaction and communication between staff and families.
