Infectious Disease Fellowship, Pediatric

Overview and Mission

UH Rainbow Pediatric Infectious Disease FellowshipThe Pediatric Infectious Diseases Training Program at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital is designed to prepare pediatricians who have completed three years of residency for careers in academic pediatric infectious diseases.

The program is three years in length, with the first year devoted to clinical training and the second and third years focused on research training in clinical epidemiology, basic science or translational research. The goal of this fellowship program is to prepare graduates to be effective clinicians and independent physician scientists.

The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Trainees who successfully complete the three-year fellowship will have met the training requirement to take the subspecialty board certification examination in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
