Potty Training Made Easy

Potty Training Made Easy

Most children can be successfully potty trained between the ages of 18 months and 3 years. Step 1 begins by talking to your child about the potty and getting them comfortable with the equipment. Place the potty and step stool in the play room to let your child become familiar with them.

Potty Training Made Easy

Your child will begin to show signs of readiness for potty training when he/or she has the motor skills to pull their pants up and down and the words/gestures to let you know that they need to use the potty.

Your child will be most successful if you can dedicate the time for frequent trips to the potty (sometimes as often as every 10 minutes!) Encourage him or her to be independent and praise them through all the steps of potty training.

When your child is successful praise them by allowing them to wash their hands with fun smelling soap. Another reward could include a trip to the department store for him or her to pick out a pair of their favorite big-girl or big-boy underpants.
