Recruitment & Community Outreach
Community outreach is a verb. It is how we actively reach out to and engage the diverse communities we serve. So whether you’re a past, current, or future research participant looking for resources to learn more about how you can be a part of discovery at UH, or a family member or caregiver of someone recently diagnosed with a disease or condition seeking more options—we're here to support you on that journey.
The UH Clinical Research Center (CRC) is powered by staff with incredible skillsets, clinical and non-clinical experience, and a passion for connecting with the community. We use our curiosity to fuel conversations that lead to education and collaboration opportunities and ensure a broad understanding of clinical research. With a geographic footprint spanning Northeast, Northwest, and Southeast Ohio, we know that our value is only as good as our knowledge of what our communities need and want.
Schedule a Recruitment & Community Outreach Strategy Consultation
If you are a researcher who wants to ensure your research makes an impact beyond the walls of UH or are interested in working with a nonprofit or community, private or public organization or a government agency to build clinical research awareness amongst your community, fill out the survey below, or contact the UH Clinical Research Center at ClinicalResearch@UHhospitals.org.
We are continuously building and growing our relationships with valued community partners. From community development corporations, health and disease-specific nonprofit organizations, public and private employers, and school districts—as we reach out further into our communities, we see no limit on how we can all support the clinical research movement.

Meet Us in the Community
We love supporting our community partners by participating in and promoting their events. If you’re interested in learning more about events you can be a part of, email the UH Clinical Research Center to be paired with events that match your research area.
Clinical Research Community Advisory Board
The Clinical Research Community Advisory Board (CAB) is a group of diverse, engaged community members who want to learn more about clinical research and influence the processes of clinical trials in a way that ensures inclusivity and a positive patient experience. The CAB can also provide feedback on a proposed study idea or trial and how to engage prospective research participants. Email the UH Clinical Research Center to request time to present on an upcoming meeting agenda.
