Randomized Controlled Trial to Optimize Patient’s Selection for Endovascular Treatment in Acute Ischemic Stroke

The purpose of this research study is to find out if mechanical thrombectomy is better than medical management in treating patients who have a large stroke and to examine if images obtained by CT scan can identify patients for thrombectomy just as efficiently as perfusion imaging.
Who Can Participate
Participants 18 -85 years old who suffered an acute ischemic stroke may be eligible for this study.
