Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship

Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Fellowship

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University and MetroHealth, offers a Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) Fellowship through its UH Urology Institute. Each year, the Case Western Reserve University / UH Cleveland Medical Center URPS Fellowship adds one to two Urogynecology fellows, for a total complement of four training fellows at all times.

Our program accepts candidates from both Urology and Gynecology programs. Urologists are required to complete two years of training, while gynecologists complete three years of training – consistent with ACGME requirements.

URPS fellows are exposed to a variety of clinical problems, a large patient volume and the full breadth of pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Our fellows work alongside a diverse group of nine fellowship-trained core faculty in the areas of:

  • Urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery
  • Female urology
  • Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery- vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic
  • Diagnostic testing including urodynamics, defecography, anorectal manometry, MRI and ultrasound
  • Colorectal surgery
  • Neurology
  • Research
    • Stem cell
    • Clinical RCT
    • Database
    • AI
    • 3D-Imaging
