University Hospitals Rehabilitation Services provides outstanding aquatic therapy for a host of conditions. Water therapy provides great benefit to rehabilitation patients as it reduces joint stress and the effects of gravity while allowing the patient to undergo endurance, strengthening and stretching exercises.

Barrier-Free Access to the Pool

Even if a patient is wheelchair bound, our therapists can provide aquatic therapy in a warm water pool with zero-grade entry for barrier-free access. Additionally, we provide a variable speed underwater treadmill and underwater monitors to measure the patient’s progress.
