Accredited Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program
Fellows at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Addiction Psychiatry benefit from supervised clinical experience in hospital and community-based inpatient, partial hospital, outpatient and consultative settings. Our one-year full-time UH/CWRU Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University, is accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Fellows participate in a structured academic curriculum emphasizing knowledge of the signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, and the management of addictive disorders utilizing evidence-based and client-centered psychosocial, pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic interventions. In addition, the Fellowship includes opportunities for clinical research, teaching and public health advocacy.
A unique feature of this program is the chance for the Addiction Psychiatry Fellows to interact with Addiction Medicine Fellows and Nurse Practitioners in both didactic and clinical settings. This multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary interaction enriches the learning experience for all practitioners.
