The Department of Plastic Surgery Offers an Integrated Residency Program
The residency program at University Hospitals Department of Plastic Surgery in Cleveland, Ohio is a six-year integrated program.
Two residents are accepted each year for a total of 12 residents in the Department of Plastic Surgery residency program at any given time.
Training and Experience in Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery residents at University Hospitals participate in didactic conferences, including:
- Weekly core curriculum lectures
- Pre-operative indications conference
- Grand rounds
- Monthly journal club
- M&M conference
- Cadaver dissections throughout the year
- Craniofacial Team and Vascular Anomalies Team
These instructional components have been designed to provide comprehensive training and experience in plastic surgery.
The curriculum is sequenced so that all topics of the plastic surgery core curriculum are covered in a 2 year cycle, meeting all six core competency requirements.
