Fellows Participate in Community Clinics

If the fellow is scheduled to be at a satellite then she/he drives out and arrives around 8 – 8:30 a.m. depending on what time conference ends. The length of the day depends on what is scheduled.

Fellows will notice a stark difference in efficiency of the staff at these facilities that will allow 20 cases to be done by 1 p.m. as opposed to the constraints at main campus which include turnover time and lack of ancillary staff support. Usually operative days let out sooner than clinic days.

The average departure time is about 3 p.m. for OR days and 4 – 6 p.m. for clinic days. Depending on what side of town you live on the commute home can be from 5 minutes to 45 minutes. It is important to have a reliable vehicle, especially with the winters in Cleveland.
