OB/Gyn Medical Student Electives

All UH Cleveland Medical Center electives and acting internships (AI) are intended to prepare students for residency by encouraging independent and critical thinking skills. Students need to have completed their core Ob/Gyn Clerkship prior to taking an advanced elective or AI.

Acting internships are offered in general OB/Gyn (obstetrics and benign gynecology) and subspecialties of OB/Gyn (gyn oncology and maternal-fetal medicine). Acting internships are four weeks in length. An advanced elective is offered in Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility. This elective is two weeks in length.
