Rachel Weinerman, MD
Assistant Professor, Associate Fellowship Director
Dr. Weinerman serves as both a clinical and research mentor for the fellows as well as the director of the didactic curriculum. Dr. Weinerman is a physician-scientist with an interest in the effects of clinical manipulations used in assisted reproductive technologies on neonatal outcomes. Her work in this area has earned national attention as she was the recipient of the ASRM Prize Paper award in 2015 as well as the 2019 SREI research grant.
A T32 scholar prior to joining our division, she established a fully-functional mouse embryology lab at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where she continues her research utilizing the mouse model. Previous fellows have had significant success in her laboratory, successfully obtaining grants and performing high-quality research during their fellowships. Dr. Weinerman also enjoys teaching fellows in the clinic and during the Tuesday didactic sessions, where fellows explore reproductive physiology in-depth.
