Keary E. O’Connor, DO
Keary E. O’Connor, D.O., is board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. She is also a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Her professional focus is on the prevention, treatment, and reversal of chronic, non- communicable diseases utilizing lifestyle interventions.
Dr. O’Connor received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Theater from Albion College and her D.O. from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids and Byron Center, Michigan. She holds certificates in facilitating the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) from the Lifestyle Medicine Institute, Leadership in Integrative Healthcare from Duke University, Medical Nutrition from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Plant Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
Dr. O’Connor served as a physician in the United States Army from 2010 to 2014, serving overseas in Germany, Iraq, and Kuwait. During her service, she earned the Bronze Star, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. She was honorably discharged from active duty in 2014 and remained in the United States Army Reserves through 2018.
Dr. O’Connor is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Dr. O’Connor joins the University Hospitals Connor Integrative Health Network team from Westwego, Louisiana, where she most recently worked in primary care. Having completed previous medical training in the Cleveland area, Dr. O’Connor is excited to return to Northeast Ohio and looks forward to bringing her skills and experience to UH.
