Innovation and Technology
UH Seidman Cancer Center is home to the latest cancer treatment protocols and the most advanced innovation and technology for diagnosing and treating cancer. Among them are the PET/MRI machine, a hybrid scanner that helps physicians better understand disease development. Our cancer treatment center is the first U.S. cancer hospital to have this technology. We were also the first in Northeast Ohio to offer proton therapy, which targets cancer cells with pinpoint accuracy. Additionally, we offer promising new techniques in immunotherapy, including CAR-T cell therapy, which uses the patient’s own immune system to fight cancer.

Free-Standing Cancer Hospital in Cleveland, OH
Located on the main campus of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, UH Seidman Cancer Center opened in spring 2011. The 375,000-square-foot cancer treatment center houses all of our cancer services under one roof to optimize patient-and family-centered care, provide the latest therapies, enhance collaboration and promote clinical research and education.
