Susan Nedorost, MD
Susan Nedorost, MD is Professor of Dermatology and Population & Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She serves as the Director of Graduate Medical Education for the University Hospitals Health System and the Designated Institutional Official for UH Cleveland Medical Center.
She is a fellow of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine program. She was a member of the AAMC GRA task force that published the Core Competencies for GME Leaders. Dr. Nedorost seeks to equip the next generation of physicians with the competencies needed to improve value of care in the US health system. She has developed and implemented a GME Health Systems Science curriculum focused on faculty and resident development in leadership, stewardship, and population health. She serves on the American Academy of Dermatology Choosing Wisely task force. She is Principle Investigator for a Pfizer Learning and Change project that resulted in an order set shown to reduce hospital readmission for patients with severe stasis dermatitis. An extension of this project will provide benchmarked data to residents and fellows on their use of orders sets for a broad set of diagnoses. This will teach trainees how to use data to improve practice.
Dr. Nedorost is past president of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. She has led many research projects and has over 90 publications in the area of dermatitis.
