A wide variety of opportunities for research training and scholarly projects are available to PEM fellows at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Within the first year of fellowship training, fellows identify a research focus and a plan for fellowship scholarly activity based on their unique interests and career goals. This is done with the guidance and support of our division faculty. Throughout the second and third year of training, fellows progress through the scholarly process with the support and guidance of their research mentor(s) and Scholarly Oversight Committees.
Fellows are provided with many opportunities to present their scholarly work at local, regional, state, and national meetings, and are provided with guidance in submitting their scholarly work for publication.
All fellows within our program have the opportunity to complete formal coursework in clinical research, epidemiology, and biostatics through the Clinical Scholars Research Program at Case Western University School of Medicine.
