At UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s, our highly specialized team of pediatric gastroenterologists collaborate with specialists across all clinical disciplines to accurately identify and treat digestive disorders in children, providing complete care to patients.
Patients and their families have access to a wide range of support services. We work closely with child life specialists, dietitians, nurses and nurse practitioners, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and social workers, ensuring every aspect of care is a part of treatment.
When appropriate, we also incorporate integrative medicine and complementary care. Our practitioners use evidence-based preventive and healing alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, massage and traditional Chinese medicines, to help patients manage or recover from digestive disorders.

In addition to specialist appointments at regional locations, we are also able to perform infusions, endoscopies and other procedures at several locations, including our main campus, UH Ahuja Medical Center and UH St. John Medical Center, so families don’t have to travel far for these important procedures.
